It pulls a Transformation Sequence like something out of Transformers until it has an enormous necron-pyramid shaped gun-barrel visible.

They, instead, infect the shard with tachyon-phage (which causes rapid decay, with exponential energy buildup), launch it at the craftworld and escape just in time for the dimensional rift to destroy the Os'tara. 
During the course of the Necron campaign, Amarkun the Gatherer and Zaa of Tomorrow use a C'tan shard to destroy craftworld Os'tara. Finally, it is revealed that at least one Craftworld, a Tyranid bop-ship big enough to munch one cruiser whole, the Silver Towers of Tzeentch and a Necron World Engine will make an appearance! Likewise, you will be able to battle ships such as The Vengeful Spirit, flagship of Abaddon the Despoiler and the site of Sanguinius' death and the Emperor and Horus Lupercal's fateful duel. The campaigns at least will truly honour the diversity of ships in the franchise by allowing the players to play some of the most powerful ships in history, beginning with the Phalanx, but also the Gloriana-Class Battleships of the Imperium such as Macragge's Honour. Such travails would have driven an ordinary man to madness, or into the clutches of the very gods he sought to oppose, but Spire is no ordinary man
